Governor Simon Lalong led an unprecedented crowd of party faithfuls to officially open the campaign office, calling on Plateau people to keep faith with him by re-electing him and President Buhari for yet another term in office. He told the crowd the cheering news of the growing popularity of the APC
“I was the villa today and I can tell you that President Muhammadu Buhari,s popularity is growing ,I am impressed with the crowd ,and I can say APC has come to stay in Plateau I would continue to provide infrastructure development that would take Plateau higher”
Speaking at the occasion, Arch Pam Dung Gyang, the Director General of the Lalong Campaign organization said the Governor has done well to merit a second term in view of his intervention in the areas of security, infrastructure and salary payments. He told whoever cared to know that there was no vacancy in the government house come 2019 as the incumbent governor is set for a second term in office following his impressive first term performance.
On his part, Latep Dabang, the All Progressive Congress Chairman who also spoke at the occasion said Lalong has followed the manifesto of the APC and has done excellently well. He charged all APC members especially political appointees to ensure that they deliver their wards .
Our correspondent reports that the massive turn out of party faithfuls caused a heavy traffic gridlock on the Yakubu Gowon express road, forcing commuters to look for alternative routes
