sitemaster The 50th anniversary celebration of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) got underway today with a defined itinerary.
As early as 8am, inhabitants of Area 3, Garki Abuja witnessed a road walk by medical laboratory scientists from all states of the federation. The exercise was to register physical presence of the profession and to promote fitness amongst members. It had the Ag Registrar of MLSCN, Sir Tosan Erhabor and Col Adeoye leading the fitness campaign
The road walk was followed by free medical tests hosted at the MLSCN headquarters. The outreach which witnessed unprecedented turnout of people from neighboring communities had beneficiaries tested for a wide range of ailments. Members of the profession who had trooped into the premises were at hand to render the commendable social corporate responsibility
The highly engaging day is expected to end with a dinner at a choice location for key stakeholders
High point of the celebration comes up tomorrow with an elaborate event at the International Conference Centre, Abuja with former Head of States, Gen Yakubu Gowon (rtd) expected to chair the occasion.
