The Plateau State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has advised Mr Fabian Ntung, Chairman of Plateau State Independent Electoral Commisssion (PLASIEC), to toe the path of honour and resign his position and bequeath a legacy for his children and their own children

The call was made by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Sir John K Akans KSM in a congratulatory message to Dr Nandul Durfa who resigned his position as Chairman,Governing Board of the College of Health Technology,  Zawan. Dr Durfa had who cited electoral fraud and impunity by the state government in the just concluded Local Government election as reason for his decision.

"Sir, your resignation as the Chairman, Governing Board of the College of Health Technology,  Zawan, citing electoral fraud and impunity by the State government has further placed your integrity on a higher level of value as a true elder- stateman" Akans said

We admire  your courage to guard your integrity particularly and to promote accountability and transparency in governance in Plateau generally.

On Mr Ntung, the PDP spokesman said:

Plateau people were touched by the tragedy of the shameless, bare-faced and service-to-satan rigging perfected by PLASIEC under the leadership and supervision of Mr Fabian Ntung and the APC.

Whereas Mr Ntung has now written his name in the book of shame on the Plateau for which generations will remember,  but you  Dr Durfa Sir, have shown great and exemplary wisdom in seeking to save the dignity of our dear state and to defend the people's freedom – thus leaving behind an enduring legacy for your own family and those who have admired you all these years of service to Plateau, Nigeria and humanity.

October 10 will continue to be remembered in the annals of democratic governance as Black October because of the injustice, daylight thievery perpetuated on Plateau people by Governor Lalong and the APC during and after the Local Government polls.

Finally we call on Mr Fabian Ntung, having failed the integrity test, to also toe the path of honour and righteousness by  resigning his position as the Chairman of the commission so as to leave a better ending for his children and their own children.

Plateau people will not believe and allow themselves  to be seduced by the dark values of deceit and betrayal but will rather  remain committed in standing against the now obviously dispicable, sacrilegious, short-sighted and self-centred disposition of Governor Lalong and the APC.
