Hot on the heels of his landslide victory at the recently conducted primaries of the People Democratic Party ahead of the Local Government Council elections in Plateau state, Mr Emmanuel Solomon Dung popularly known as Gibok who emerged the PDP flag bearer for the coming local government elections has reiterated that he is on a people-centered mission by throwing his hat in the ring to contest for the chairmanship position in the next election.

Hot on the heels of his landslide victory at the recently conducted primaries of the People Democratic Party ahead of the Local Government Council elections in Plateau state, Mr Emmanuel Solomon Dung popularly known as Gibok who emerged the PDP flag bearer for the coming local government elections has reiterated that he is on a people-centered mission by throwing his hat in the ring to contest for the chairmanship position in the next election.

Gibok revealed this to www.inspirations.com.ng on Tuesday in Jos in an exclusive interview to unveil his manifesto and blueprint for the task ahead.

“my mission is to build bridges of unity, hope and human understanding among the various stakeholders. To promote good governance and empower the less privilege by inculcating in them special abilities to cope with the growing challenges of our time” he said.

With his campaign maxim christened TRANSFORMATION, the Jos South Chairmanship hopeful said he believes in working with all and sundry to transform the local government.

“I believe in men and women who believe in transformational leadership to promote peace, stable security, good governance, equity and economic development for Jos South LGA” Gibok said.

Born on 27th April, 1978 in Gyel District, Jos South LGA, Plateau State, Mr Dung who is also an Evangelist, a philanthropist and an entrepreneur had his first Leaving School Certificate in 1992 and National Examination Council in 2013. His philanthropic traits are visible in his handsome financial supports to religious, cultural and community organization including repairs of PHCN transformers in Gyel on several occasions, award of scholarship to over 200 deserving students in Jos South LGA as well as construction and reconstruction of bridges linking several communities in the LGA. He is also the CEO/MD of two progressive ventures: Corinthians FC and Emma Dung Solo Enterprise.

Gibok said his blueprint borders on peace and security, rural infrastructural development, prompt payment of counterpart funds, construction of markets, education, rural electrification, social welfare schemes, agriculture, health services, and employment amongst others.

Reports from the grass root revealed that Gibok is well accepted by the people in view of the impact he has made through his philanthropic gestures and is all poised to emerge as the next chairman of Jos South LGA.
