BOUNCING BACK
The difference between a successful person and an unsuccessful one is in their ability to bounce back after a fall. No one has ever had a smooth sail in life. The uninvited and unsavory interjections of delay, rough rides, stagnations and in some cases retreat are common experiences along the path to destiny
In the event of a fall, some look at where they fell while others look at how and why they fell. The former is concerned about the place of the fall and possibly the people around the place. He seem to be asking: are they looking at me? Is anyone aware I have fallen? Can I pretend that nothing has happened since no one has seen me down? In short, they are concerned about people than themselves or the fall. The latter are interested in knowing how and why they fell. It is called stock taking or root cause analysis. The essence of this is to identify strength and weaknesses and also to modify an approach. In the process, experience teaches what mentors and teachers failed to teach
To rise after a fall is to know what led to the fall and determine to avoid it. It is also to accept responsibility for the fall and not to ration it. It is to dare to do again and not to dread doing it again. Unfortunately, some rise from the dust of the fall with all manner of accusations targeted at others. They blame everyone and everything for the fall except themselves! In the process they brand helpers of destiny as enemies and create high walls between them instead of building bridges
To bounce back after a fall, you must also forgive yourself of the mistakes of the last fall. No one dwells in the past and makes progress. The past must be allowed to pass on while opening hands to newer opportunities and challenges
Also, you must begin with the end in mind! Your motivation to going all the way is that you have a dream which you are determined to achieve. You build your life around it and move in its direction until you get to the finish line. Of course without a dream, the people will perish
Always believe that the next trial would get you through! The thinking that if I could not make it yesterday, then I cannot make it again is retrogressive. The energy to do more must never run dry in us. We must push on and move ahead
Be determined to succeed. Never allow any factor dictate your speed and direction in life. Take full charge and cruise on to an enviably successful life you have desired. Life does not give you what you desire but what you demand.
