Leaders must be inspired and inspirational! They must have the innate ability to make people see mountains as mere dung hills and see possibilities in 'humanly impossible' situations.
When Nehemiah arrived Jerusalem to rebuild the broken down walls, he met a remnant of oppressed, depressed and devastated people who were not considered good enough by their captors due to weaknesses and geriatric infirmities
These group of write offs, emotionally defeated and good-for-nothing remnant was what Nehemiah met on ground and must work with to achieve his laudable dreams. He told them his mission, challenged them to the task and inspired them to “Arise and Build”. Amazingly, these group of weaklings and psychologically oppressed fellows rose to the challenge of rebuilding the violated city. They did this within 52 days amidst very stiff opposition, ridicule and discouragement. Quiet incredible!
Leaders with exceptional inspiration skills never fail to deliver. They get difficult tasks done in record time. No member of their team is ever useless no matter how devastating the challenges of life have dealt the fatal blows. They see and nurture strengths in the weakest member of the team knowing full well that the team is only as strong as its weakest link. In fact, Uselessness of team members is due to the cluelessness of leadership. Great leaders have the right words to get people off their seats and hit the speed lane to hitherto abandoned destinations. They never blame their non performance on people in their team, environmental or socio-economic factors. They simply have enough fuel within to drive through horrendous terrains towards their defined destinations.
Inspiration will no doubt safe leaders from expiration due to excessive perspiration from herculean demands of their offices.
