In continuation of my series on ANALYSING THE ANALYSTS of political landscape in Nigeria. I bring you another group of analysts today who insist that everything about their master is right. They are the irrationally objective group.
In my last release I drew your attention to objective rationalism where the group of political analysts deal with issues without iota of bias. They are guided by conscience not parties.
Irrational objectivity is a school of thought mostly occupied by shallow-minded party faithfuls, sycophants, and political leeches. Students of this group are trained to sing praises of political gladiators irrespective of the deliverables on parade. To them, their principals are seamless and sinless. Glaring misgivings of their masters are explained away in rationalism with uncalibrated standards.
Believers of this school of thought are sentimental and parochial. They are after what they get not what eventually becomes their principal's reputation. They go to extremes of acting as attack dogs meant to insult and commandeer to uneasy silence anyone who dares to raise a discordant note in their perfected praise song. In this group, right and wrong are redefined in the context of their actions and inactions of the principal.
They differ from subjective objective believers in the sense that they will not tell their principals the bitter truth both overtly or covertly. They drive gullible principals from glory to fringes of societal gory. Unfortunately, they do not mind dumping their pay masters when the bread becomes smaller and drier for any who can offer a fatter and faster one.
Their masters cannot rely on them for political research and feedback. They are only good as campaign crowd and must be immediately consigned into conservative parks of convenience once the real art of governance starts.
