INSPIRATION 101: ANALYSING THE ANALYSTS (1)

As views and reviews on topical national issues continue to dominate media space brewing analysis from all and sundry, I will take the next few series to analyse the analysts as they trade banters for and against critical issues in the polity.

I will look at their analytic tools, skills and byproducts as I attempt to connect the personalities with their positions and analytic products. Preliminary research shows an oscillate of ideas from extremes of objectivity to that of subjectivity with the conservatives having shades of both in graded proportions.

First I wish to zero in on the RATIONALLY OBJECTIVE group. They are few in number. They major on issues without sutures. They isolate characters from issues and thrash them against acceptable norms and laws. They scrutinize actions and inactions around the ideal and the real while factoring in opportunities and positions in the context of play. They are smart enough to detach their motions and emotions from their analysis irrespective of the key players at stake.

Incidentally, politicians and political party faithfuls don't belong here because their 'loyalty' forbids  them from seeing or saying a thing against 'their own' in public space. Their definition of loyalty is to insist black is white and falsehood is truth not minding the discordant voice of their objective conscience which eventually gets silenced and seared.

Objective rationalists are nationalists with clean and imposing conscience. Our civil society activists are suppose to be here in their numbers. Their posture remains unaltered amidst changing parties and participants in government or regimes. They represent the voice of the society aptly called the masses. They applaud and oppose authorities based on policy impact on the masses. They speak carry the pains of people to government and I'm some ways step down targeted programs of government to the people. They are an unbiased arbiter. The puzzle however is whether they are truly what they should be.

Our religious leaders are also suppose to fill this group in their numbers. They are moral crusaders who naturally should incline towards right and righteousness. They represent the voice of God and should be seen to behave so. History of religion shows that circular leaders were appointed by God through religious leaders who announce and anoint them. He takes God's message to the leaders periodically as led by God. Religious leaders are to be neutral as divine consultants to circular leaders. The puzzle however is whether they have kept to this sacredness

Objective rationality is what our leaders need to succeed. Our support for them must not close our eyes and mouths from their misgivings just as our dislike for them should not translate to unwarranted attacks and unfiltered criticisms.
Good morning!
