INSPIRATION 101
When fraternal relationship is fractured, togetherness becomes endangered, brotherliness becomes extinct and camaraderie becomes suspect. This threatens the natural sense of communal living where the pain or gain of one is that of all.
The evolution of the strange individualist culture where "each is to himself and God for us all" has unfortunately corroded our natural tendencies for community and communal coexistence. The negative trend means that sympathy and empathy have now lost their basic definitions and applications in networking and team building
Today, the pain of one remains the pain of one. Sadly, in extreme cases, the pain of one has become the joy of many. They revel in the euphoria of the downfall others. They seem to be guided by bones picked previously when relationships got sour justifying their vindictive postures and postulations. Similarly, those in joyful moods are left cold in their celebrations as those who should ordinarily join the fray withdraw in silent protest in sheer display of envy rooted in unhealthy competition. They get edgy, restive and restless, wearing long faces when others roll out the drums to celebrate landmark successes.
We can choose to solder the plundered bonds of togetherness in rebuilding the enviable edifice of brotherhood which was once our pride and signature or we break our bands and fall apart into parties that suspect each other, picking up arms against hitherto jolly good friends without any provocation.
Our fraternity must transcends meeting in places or events. The thick lines of connectivity must be seen by onlookers from a distance in formal and non formal settings thereby sending a loud message to the world that "the people be one"!
Good morning!
